Katherine Henzler-Wildman, PH.D.

Katie moved to NMRFAM in March 2015 and leads the solution NMR technology development and user programs.  Katie’s interest and expertise include analysis of protein dynamics on multiple timescales, NMR of membrane proteins, solution NMR of large and challenging systems, optimization of sample preparation for NMR, and NMR approaches to characterizing protein function. In addition to NMRFAM technology development and collaboration, Katie’s research group has major projects investigating the mechanism of secondary active transport, ion channel selectivity and allosteric regulation, bacterial antibiotic resistance, and viral pathogenesis.
