Milo has been the Director of NMRFAM for over 30 years. His interests focus on the use of NMR spectroscopy for study of the structure, function, and dynamics of biological macromolecules. Milo has been working with users and collaborators of NMRFAM and have been able to pursue and contributed to a wide range of scientific endeavors: NMR pulse sequence development, theoretical NMR, theoretical chemistry (quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics), experimental and theoretical NMR studies of paramagnetic proteins, protein structure determination, natural product structure determination, and most recently, determination of spin system matrices (chemical shifts and coupling constants) by fitting of experimental NMR data for use in a Bayesian approach for deciphering NMR spectra of metabolite solutions. Over the years, he has accumulated vast knowledge of working details of computers, operating systems, software, and NMR instrumentation. Milo look forward to becoming acquainted with the theory and experiments associated with solid state NMR.
